The gold production company has once again selected our Benchmanager High Precision Machine Guidance system based on its remarkable performance at another mine site of theirs in Namibia. During previous site visits to the Namibia mine, the Mali Mine team observed the system in action and witnessed its usability and scalability in addition to its centimetre-level accuracy in guiding mining equipment in real-time for minimal rework and reduced operational costs.
Prior to deploying Machine Guidance technology, the Mali Mine ("Mine") had deployed Wenco's core product suite, Wencomine FMS, with great success. With the confidence of a quality software foundation and proven project management, the Mine team is now achieving greater mine plan compliance with a fully integrated high precision guidance system.
The Benchmanager High Precision Machine Guidance system gives loading units at the Mine a real-time view of dig blocks, ore boundaries, toe and crest zones, and mined-out areas throughout site. The system is also used to keep their dozers on target so benches and stockpiles meet the specifications. Understanding that greater machine accuracy ensures better productivity, efficiency and safety was the main driving force behind the purchase.
